With a background in art education, museum exhibit design and the wholesale gift industry, Janet Taffet brings a fresh perspective to a longtime favorite shopping destination. After 17 years of supplying gift cards and other merchandise to the store’s original owner, Taffet purchased the shop in August of 2010.

Between her natural sense of purposeful aesthetic and resourceful bohemian style, Taffet loves the search for objects of delight and surprising purpose. Through her work at Jacque Michelle, she enjoys offering a sense of playfulness and a bit of offbeat rhythm to life, work and play. As a longtime Boulderite, it takes her a calculator to figure out how long she has lived here.
